Spiderman Far From Home Movie Review:

While these interaction scenes are heavily present in the first half, Audiences can still enjoy these interactions as they provide for quality humor and relatability. But where the film really shines is with its complex and compelling plot twist. It ties exceptionally well with the source material while serving as some genuinely creative world-building not just for the Post Avengers world, but for the post phase 3 universe.

Like Spider-Man Homecoming, Far From Home also holds the consistent flaw of the unconvincing antagonist. While Gyllenhaal’s performance was sensational to every degree, the writing of the character fell a bit soft. There didn’t seem to be much emotional investment for the audience to grasp on to even with said character aspects present. Adding an additional scene to fully flush out the character would’ve benefited greatly as well as adding a little something extra for the concept that’s teased throughout the film.
While Avengers: Endgame acts as the definitive finale to the long-running narrative, Spider-Man: Far From Home is the amazing sequel that lays the groundwork for what’s to come in the MCU. Despite some minor flaws, the film proves to be a fun, lighthearted experience with plenty of spectacular action from start to finish. And it’s worth mentioning to stick around for both post-credits scenes, especially the mid-credits stinger.
